Czersk House
Czersk, Poland, 2020
The house design is located on the Vistula River escarpment in Czersk. The site opens up to the valley and the surrounding nature. The main goal of the project was to create a refuge – a place that would be an escape from the everyday noise of the city, so that the residents could relax and feel at home. That is why our main theme for the project was balance.
To maintain balance, the house design was divided into two functional zones – day and night. The night area is located on the first floor, where the bedrooms open onto a terrace overlooking the valley. The living area, on the other hand, is located on the ground floor, directly adjacent to the garden. This division allows us to fully relax in the night zone and work in the day zone.
The texture of brushed natural stone comes to the fore. White and wood dominate the color scheme of the space, so a subtle green color has been introduced in the kitchen furniture to provide contrast. The wood on the floor warms up the interior, harmonizing and creating harmony with the other materials.
